IT seems property hunters can’t get enough of the Hamptons nor Currumbin Waters, where a stylishly renovated home has been snapped up for a record sum.
Buyers were lined up to secure 19 Beaumont Court after it launched on Tuesday, March 3, with 87 groups inspecting the property across two open homes that weekend leading to 24 written offers.
LJ Hooker Palm Beach agent David Lonie, who handled the sale with Mishy Canning, said a professional couple signed a contract on the Sunday evening.
“It was really nicely finished inside and just a good all-round home in a suburb that’s up-and-coming,” Mr Lonie said.
“Anything in this area that’s a decent product for under $1 million is going to get a lot of attention at the moment.”
CoreLogic records show the 759sq m property sold to an unnamed buyer for $885,000, setting a record sale price for Beaumont Court.
The property has been beautifully renovated in the Hamptons style, featuring polished concrete floors and a striking black central staircase.
Mr Lonie said the level of interest in the property was typical for Currumbin Waters where quality properties sell fast.
“Out of everything we’ve sold this year, I would say 80 per cent are sold within the first seven days,” he said.
The sale comes in the wake of recent realestate.com.au data that revealed property in Currumbin Waters was the most-searched-for on the Gold Coast in the three months to January, when 3500 searches were performed.
The surge is being attributed to the boom in neighbouring Palm Beach, where the price point is forcing buyers into surrounding suburbs which offer better value for money.
