The first waterfront development in 20 years at Redland Bay is set to hit the market and it is aimed at owner-occupiers.
Wayfarer Residences offers 33 residences made up of two-bedroom apartments from $475,000, three-bedroom apartments from $565,000, and three-bedroom marina-front apartments from $795,000. Two-storey villas with private basement parking and penthouses are also part of the mix.

Developer and builder Bradley Durkin said having direct water frontage was a huge drawcard for buyers.
“You can basically fish from the balcony at 23 of the 33 residences,” he said.
Mr Durkin said it had been a long road to get the development approved. “We purchased the three lots when the opportunity came along,” he said. “We just fell in love with the area. It’s peaceful and tranquil.
“It’s such a quiet street and there’s no through traffic.”
Mr Durkin said a boat ramp, to be built in the future, would allow for a “lovely flow” of slow boats going past the pet-friendly estate.
“It will be nice for retirees or semi-retirees to enjoy some activity on the water,” he said.
Selling agent Shaun Lennon, of Place Projects, said downsizers and rightsizers had shown interest in the development.
Mr Lennon said one of the original land owners was looking to buy at Wayfarer Residences, proving it was a good outcome for the area.
“We’re seeing a lot of interest from buyers downsizing from quite large homes,” he said.
There will also be a communal library, meeting space and access to the use of kayaks and paddleboards, all provided by the body corporate.
“There’s a communal pick-up point for those with boats. They can put their boat in the water and pick family up from out the front,” Mr Lennon said.
All apartments and townhouses will have secure underground parking.
Boardwalk access will allow residents to travel to the nearby ferry terminals.
