A Baulkham Hills home, fast-tracked to market amid concerns stricter lockdown measures to contain the coronavirus are coming, has already attracted bidders.
The seven bedroom property at 41 Brodie Street, had been scheduled to go under the hammer on April 4 but instead will be auctioned this weekend through Manor Real Estate.
Pre-bidding registration on the renovated residence, which has a separate granny flat, opened this week with two potential buyers already signing up.
The successful purchaser will be able to soak in the freestanding tub and watch a movie from the built-in television in the monochrome bathroom – just one of the home’s many features.
Agent Jay Bacani plans to keep registrations open until 30-minutes before proceedings commence and will only allow genuine buyers to remain at the auction. He is anticipating around five bidders.
“We will make sure that everyone is spread out – if it rains there is a room just off the entry which is massive – otherwise we will be outside,” he said.
The property last sold two years ago as a single level three bedroom home.
Now it has been transformed into a five bedroom contemporary tri-level residence with a separate two bedroom granny flat and potential for additional income.
The main home includes a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and separate bar area with wine rack.
Its master retreat is located on a private level with a large walk-in wardrobe, two balconies, a study, sunroom and stylish ensuite with heated flooring.
“It is a very unique property, it is really ideal for those living with extended family,” Mr Bacani said.
“There are not many seven bedroom homes with six bathrooms that come onto the market in Baulkham Hills. It has been drawing interest from potential buyers locally who are looking to upsize, especially those with grandparents living with them, as well as groups from Parramatta and Ryde areas.”
Other features include a secluded outdoor entertainment area with separate deck and landscaped gardens. It also has a CCTV and alarm system, a laundry chute and a double car lock up garage with storage rooms.
The granny flat includes a new kitchen with dining area, two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes plus ensuites.
Mr Bacani said they plan to continue working should the lockdown measures during the pandemic be increased. They will offer virtual walk-throughs of already listed properties as well as promoting properties looking to sell off-market.
“Obviously more people will be at home and will be looking at real estate online,” he said.
“The situation has really developed over the past two weeks and so those who have already come onto the market, they have decided they might as well go for it and continue with their marketing and see what happens.”
