Get A Free Nintendo Switch Memory Card When You Buy 2 Digital Switch Games

Nintendo’s latest batch of Switch deals are live now, and while the offers are usually limited to games on the Eshop, Nintendo has partnered with Walmart to offer a nice freebie for those looking to stock up on some first-party games. From now until May 23, you’ll get a free Nintendo Switch 128GB memory card when you buy two select digital Switch games at Walmart. The eligible games include:

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Splatoon 2
  • Arms
  • Fire Emblem Warriors
  • Mario Tennis Aces
  • Yoshi’s Crafted World

Depending on what games you choose, you’ll spend between $106 and $120 on the bundle–not much of a savings on the games themselves, but considering these games are rarely on sale anyway, the free microSD card is a nice perk. (As a point of reference, the same memory card is on sale for $27.74 at Amazon, usually listed at $35.) You’ll receive your digital game codes via email so you can redeem in the Eshop and start playing right away. The memory card will be shipped separately with free two-day delivery.

Of course, there are plenty of other game deals available directly on the Eshop. A “Family Time” sale brings steep discounts on Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which is down to $15, and Just Dance 2020, which is discounted to $20. The “AniMay” sale has deals on some of the Switch’s anime games, including Dragon Ball FighterZ for $15, and there’s also an Annapurna Interactive publisher sale on some of the Switch’s best indie games, including Florence, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, What Remains of Edith Finch, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and more.

More Nintendo Switch game deals

What the Golf, a hilarious physics-based golf parody, originally launched on Apple Arcade and PC in 2019 and is now available on Nintendo Switch for a launch discount of $15. The game earned a “superb” 9/10 in our What the Golf Switch review for its extremely fun and accessible Party Mode, consistent humor, and more.

Sonic the Hedgehog games are also featured in a sale on the Eshop, so it’s a great time to buy Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 for just $40, Sonic Mania for $10, or Team Sonic Racing for $20. The sale is perfectly timed around the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie on Blu-ray and DVD–the Sonic movie is currently on sale for $23 (Blu-ray + DVD + digital) at Amazon right now.
